Itera bought its Grayson Hill Energy operation in Raleigh, Illinois, in the heart of the Southern Illinois Basin, in 2002 and reconfigured it as a natural gas production plant. Originally an electric-generating plant using coal mine methane gas, today it features a dozen gas wells with proven reserves of several billion cubic feet of natural gas and coal mine methane for distribution via the Texas Eastern Pipeline. This conduit stretches over 9,000 miles from offshore the Gulf of Mexico to the major gas and electricity markets in the Northeastern US. In addition to accessing and processing the abundant gas in the area,
the Raleigh plant generates sufficient electricity to run all plant operations.

In the last few years, Itera has committed to a major capital investment in the Grayson Hill Energy Plant in the form of additional pipeline, equipment and exploration for new areas of natural gas.

With minimal landowner and environmental impact, Itera
is helping to cost-effectively meet the demand for natural gas in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets. By doing so, the company is providing its customers with greater energy security, reliability and flexibility.

From the natural gas it produces and processes into fuel
to the electricity it makes available to the Northeast's expanding markets, Itera's role in contributing to the country's available energy resources is significant-
and growing.
