Cloud Architect
Itera is looking for a Cloud Architect with deep technical knowledge and practitioner experience in designing and building cloud solutions.
Strong technical background, problem analysis skills, as well as good communication skills, are essential. The successful candidate will work in an agile team environment on cloud-based enterprise applications deployed to both internal and external clients.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Possess the necessary technical skills to serve as the foundation for cloud architecture for projects with medium to high complexity
- Plan for system and application migration to the cloud, adhering to client technical and business requirements
- Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems
- Provide firm, clear perspective of cloud solution to business
- Assure stakeholders that the cloud solutions recommended are secure, resilient, cost-efficient, and managed with operational excellence
- Ensure that all cloud solutions follow governance, security and compliance controls
- Provide thought leadership on cloud platform technology use, design, and implementation
- Relate sophisticated topics in simple and accessible language
- Share best practices and industry point of view to bring new ideas
- Identify frameworks and tools that enable better cloud native designs
- Hold proof of concepts to build competitive cloud solutions
- Enhance technical solutions with leading providers capabilities
Professional requirements:
- 1+ years of experience on Architecture position
- 3+ years of Software Engineering or DevOps experience
- Proven experience architecting, implementing, maintaining scalable distributed production infrastructure
- Strong understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build complex solutions (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP optional)
- Strong understanding of cloud-based application architecture, microservice containerization and serverless technologies using native cloud services
- Strong understanding of scale and performance impact of Infrastructure design
- Knowledge of container and container orchestration technology (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code technologies (e.g., ARM templates/bicep, Terraform)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- A passion continuously striving to improve the customer experience
- A strong desire to current on technical trends in order to suggest innovative tools and approaches to interesting problems
- Ability to interact positively with clients and employees at all levels of the organization
- Excellent cooperative and organizational skills, detail-oriented to manage many projects simultaneously
- English: upper-intermediate
