Senior Test Automation Engineer

Itera is looking for a talented and inspired Senior Test Automation Engineer with solid experience in writing TA frameworks, technical background, and deep understanding of testing process to join the existing project team in development of HR solution for Norwegian customer. 

Customer delivers web-based solutions primarily within the Scandinavian market by means of its Compublish platform. Using the subscription payment model, these solutions include legal content delivery, quality management, risk management, task/checklist and issue tracking, AI chatbots, and more.
Following Itera’s core ‘Make a difference’ philosophy, customer aims to always improve things for their customers. Customer’s platform is developed and tested by two teams: onsite in Norway and in Kyiv with both teams working together as one under Agile / Kanban methodologies. Person will join existing test and test automation team.
The application layer is based on PHP technologies and is currently hosted with the AWS cloud.
Short-term business trips to Scandinavia once per year should be expected.


Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design and develop test automation solution\framework
  • Develop and maintain automated tests
  • Define test automation strategy and approach
  • Assure reliability of the results of the automated tests
  • Integrate automation solution into customer’s environment
  • Setup autotests execution
  • Contribution to internal/external QA community


Professional requirements:

  • At least 5 years in QA
  • At least 3 years of test automation experience (Java 8 or higher)
  • Experience with Selenium Web driver
  • Experience in API\Backend test automation
  • Experience with databases and SQL
  • Understanding of test automation methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of OOP principles and understanding of design patterns
  • Understanding of CI / CD principles


Be a plus:

  • Experience with Selenide
  • Experience in mobile test automation
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Selenoid / Selenium Grid
