Test Engineer

Itera is looking for Test Engineer to join the existing project team in development of HR solution for Norwegian customer.

Customer delivers web-based solutions primarily within the Scandinavian market by means of its Compublish platform. Using the subscription payment model, these solutions include legal content delivery, quality management, risk management, task/checklist and issue tracking, AI chatbots and more.

Following Itera’s core ‘Make a difference’ philosophy, customer aims to always improve things for their customers. Customer’s platform is developed and tested by two teams: onsite in Norway and in Kiev with both teams working together as one under Agile / Kanban methodologies. Person will join existing test and test automation team.

The application layer is based on PHP technologies and is currently hosted with the AWS cloud.

Short-term business trips to Scandinavia ones per year should be expected (after the lockdown).

Tasks and responsibilities:

Plan test activities in the project
Communicate with developers, test automation team and product owner
Perform requirements analysis and testing
Perform test design
Ongoing manual functional testing of web application
Perform bug tracking and reporting
Support acceptance testing by end users, if required
Report to customer

Professional requirements:

At least 3+ year experience within software testing
Deep understanding of core testing processes
Experience in test planning and estimating
Knowledge of bug tracking tool(s) and process
Experience in creating test cases, test design
Experience of work in distributed environment, dynamic team

Be a plus:

Experience of direct communication with customer
ISTQB certification
