AI-driven demand fuels 7% growth and improved profitability in Q2
Oslo, 28 August 2026
Itera continues to grow in a market where many customers are prioritising technology that creates clear value. In the second quarter of 2026, operating revenue increased to NOK 210.2 million, while the company improved profitability and took further steps in AI-driven development and modernisation.
Behind the numbers is a focused effort to make better use of resources, strengthen deliveries and create more value for customers. Revenue increased by 7 percent in constant currency, and adjusted EBIT ended at NOK 14.3 million. This gives Itera a stronger foundation for continued investment in expertise, services and solutions that help customers succeed with digital transformation.
“The second quarter confirms that operational discipline and targeted improvement measures are translating into profitable growth. We delivered higher revenue, stronger margins and positive cash generation, while strengthening our position in areas where AI is becoming an accelerator for customer transformation,” says Arne Mjøs, CEO of Itera.
For customers, this means that Itera is strengthening its ability to combine technology, domain understanding and practical delivery. Cloud & Application Services is a good example. The unit grew gross profit by 28 percent in the quarter, driven by recurring managed services, automation and AI. After several years of investment, the unit has returned to profitability.
AI is no longer something customers are only testing in small pilots. More companies want to use artificial intelligence across larger parts of their business, from application modernisation and cloud journeys to more efficient operations and managed services. Itera is seeing that virtually all new customer engagements now have an AI dimension.

At the same time, the development is not only about technology, but also about responsibility. Itera’s certification under ISO 42001, as the first company in Norway and among the first in Europe, documents how the company works with responsible AI governance, quality and compliance. Together with solutions such as Code Compass, Digital Factory and Atlas Data Fabric, this gives customers a safer foundation for scaling AI in a controlled and value-creating way.
For employees at Itera, the quarter is also a sign that the improvement work is delivering results. At the end of the second quarter, Itera had 672 employees, and operating revenue for the first half of 2026 was NOK 433.1 million. This provides a solid basis for further development of the company, its deliveries and the expertise our customers will need going forward.
