Real impact in Ukraine

Innovation on the battlefield and beyond

Join Itera and NUCC for an inspiring breakfast seminar during Oslo Innovation Week, exploring how technology drives resilience in Ukraine's recovery journey.

     22. oktober 2025

    08:30 - 10:30

     Stortingsgata 6, Oslo

Together with corporate innovation teams, donors, and ecosystem players, we will examine cutting-edge solutions supporting Ukraine – from battlefield innovations to societal reconstruction.

Key note number one will be Epicentr's presentation of Blaho for Communities, their groundbreaking digital platform developed in partnership with Itera. This innovative solution provides a transparent, targeted mechanism for international donors to directly finance verified reconstruction projects in Ukrainian small towns and rural areas affected by the war. The platform transforms recovery initiatives into Digital Humanitarian Aid Certificates, ensuring community-led, traceable reconstruction efforts across Ukraine.

The Tschudi Group, a longstanding Norwegian shipping and logistics operator, has since 2008 had a Tschudi Ship Management office in Odesa and since two years Tschudi Logistics is partnering in the development of a multimodal logistics terminal in Kovel, Ukraine. The Russian attack on Ukraine initiated a huge increase in GPS interference in the Baltic and Black Sea spreading to other regions where GPS positioning is critical for targeting or for defensive purposes such as in the Eastern Mediterranean, Red Sea and Arabian Gulf. This has led to grave concerns over safe navigation with serious risks to vessel safety, crew welfare and the reliability of global trade routes. As a response to this the Tschudi Group teamed up with US based NAL Research and SGM Technology of Norway to develop a satellite-based tool that detects if a vessel’s GPS is being jammed or spoofed. It also provides an alternative correct position by utilising a low-earth orbit satellite network. The solution relies on Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) that enables redundancy and resilience of GPS signals and has among other places been tested in Ukraine.

The event aligns with Oslo Innovation Week 2025's theme of "Real Action, Real Impact, Real Oslo," showcasing how Norwegian-Ukrainian collaboration delivers tangible results in crisis response and recovery.
