About Heisrådgiveren

Heisrådgiveren is an independent advisory company in the elevator industry that provides expertise in elevators, escalators, and other lifting devices. The consultancy is focused on two main areas: management/operation of existing elevators and projects involving modernization or replacement of existing elevators. In this project, operational consultancy has been the focus.

From manual and time-consuming...

One of the most important and time-consuming tasks in Heisrådgiveren's daily operations is to follow up and verify invoices for work performed on elevators. This work involves checking that the work has been completed in a timely manner, at the right price, and properly. This process consists of several manual searches for prices, agreements, and contracts currently scattered across different systems and Excel sheets.

The project aimed to increase efficiency, free up valuable time, and create breathing space for Heisrådgiveren's employees who work on invoice verification.

 

...to digitized, simplified, and automated

The solution was to implement a comprehensive solution based on Microsoft Power Platform. This has revolutionized the workflow and created significant benefits from day one.

  • Automatic receipt of invoices: The project has automated the receipt of invoices via email by automating receipt flows in Power Automate. This has saved time and reduced the risk of human errors and dependencies.

  • Machine learning: We use machine learning to extract information from invoices and store it for further consultation. The data foundation being created will ensure higher quality and simplify future consulting.

  • Simplification of process review: Itera has developed a tailor-made system to streamline processes further. The system has centralized the entire review process for invoices in one place. This has made it easier for Heisrådgiveren's employees to overview and handle invoices from receipt to dispatch. This has simplified collaboration, eliminated the need for printouts, and reduced processing time by up to 50%.

  • Implementation of a data model for predictive maintenance and budgeting: A central part of the project has been developing a data model that stores and links relevant information from invoices to customers and elevators. This data provides valuable insights for planning maintenance and budgeting purposes.

Through "Project Breathing Space," Heisrådgiveren AS and Itera have succeeded in transforming and streamlining their work processes through digitalization and automation. A unified system and flow implementation has enabled the automation of invoice handling while consolidating process reviews into a user-friendly app. The developed data model provides valuable insights for future work. "Project Breathing Space" has freed up time and resources and strengthened Heisrådgiveren's competitive position in the market.
