Launch of "Housing for Ukraine" Pilot Project at Itera's Oslo Office

Last week, Itera hosted an event in collaboration with Moelven at its Oslo office to launch the "Housing for Ukraine" pilot project. This ambitious initiative aims to construct initial homes for four families in Ukraine and lay the groundwork for extensive rebuilding efforts across the war-torn nation.

The event welcomed distinguished guests, including Cecilie T. Myrseth, Norway’s Minister of Trade and Industry from Nærings- og fiskeridepartementet, and Marharyta Bondarieva, a policy advisor from the Borodyanka community in Ukraine. Other notable attendees included representatives from NHO, the Ukrainian embassy, Norsk Eksportfinans, Norad, Innovation Norway, NUCC, as well as several suppliers associated with Moelven.

A highlight of the event was the signing of a contract between Moelven Byggmodul and its suppliers. This significant act symbolizes their commitment to future deliveries and ongoing support for this vital cause.

Jon Erik Høgberg, Group COO of Itera stated: “We at Itera are proud to collaborate with Moelven Byggmodul to make a difference for Ukraine. Together, we provide what the country and many Ukrainians need: new, permanent quality homes quickly and at scale. We must act now before the humanitarian crisis becomes too demanding. 'Too late – too little' is not acceptable.” He also expressed gratitude towards Minister Myrseth for her support on behalf of Norway.
