Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024
Itera is honored to have been invited to the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin June 2024. We had yet another opportunity to showcase the active involvement of the Norwegian business community in entering Ukraine.
The recently concluded conference provided a platform for global collaboration and discussion aimed at revitalizing Ukraine's economy and infrastructure. Attended by esteemed delegates, including Itera's CEO Arne Mjøs and COO Jon Erik Høgberg, the conference highlighted Ukraine's recovery and long-term reconstruction.
URC 2024 served as an uplifting and inspirational event, fueling optimism for Ukraine's recovery journey. Itera's active participation and commitment to these vital initiatives demonstrate their dedication to making a tangible difference in Ukraine's future. By joining forces with customers such as Moelven and engaging in collaborative partnerships, Itera is creating pathways for sustainable development and positive change.
International Flagship Award to Itera
During the conference, Itera was honoured to receive the prestigious International Flagship Award. Presented by Vice-Chancellor of Germany Robert Habeck and First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, this award acknowledges successful and inspiring international business ventures that showcase Ukraine's attractiveness for business and investment despite the ongoing Russian aggression. The recognition serves as a testament to the dedication and commitment of Itera and its employees.
Itera was nominated by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to receive the award and was selected as one of ten international companies by German and Ukrainian authorities to win. The award was bestowed upon us as a result of our long-term initiative to support Ukraine both in humanitarian efforts and through trade.
Exclusive event by Itera: Building Partnerships and Recognition
During the event, Itera initated a Ukraine - Norwegian Roundtable event, held at the Norwegian Embassy, which further fostered partnerships and discussions with key stakeholders, including the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC). This meeting aimed to define the way forward and identify priority areas for collaboration. Itera extends its gratitude to the Norwegian government, Ukrainian government, and businesses for their transparent and informative contributions.

"Housing for Ukraine" Initiative
In collaboration with Moelven, Itera is spearheading the "Housing for Ukraine" initiative, which focuses on providing support to the 6.5 million internally displaced Ukrainians in need of housing. The initiative aims to efficiently deliver high-quality pre-made houses by working closely with the Ukrainian government, local authorities, Ukraine construction companies, and both Ukrainian and international financial institutions. This joint effort endeavors to alleviate the housing crisis faced by displaced individuals.
Energy Efficiency and Energy Savings Programs
Itera is committed to supporting the design and implementation of energy efficiency programs in Ukraine. By leveraging products and expertise from the Nordics, Itera aims to contribute to Ukraine's energy transition. This transition will not only benefit Ukraine itself but also have a positive impact on Europe's pursuit of reaching its zero emissions target by 2050. The comprehensive program, aptly named "Enter Ukraine with us," combines Itera's digitalization capabilities in the energy sector with cutting-edge energy technology from Nordic energy partners.
