Housing for Ukraine

We invite you to join our mission to enhance the living conditions of Ukrainian citizens by rapidly increasing the availability of safe and decent homes, that are accessible and affordable for all, not only the few. 

To do so we need the help of not only one entity, but several parties from both the private and public sectors that are working together to support all of Ukraine.  

About the initative: 

The "Housing for Ukraine" initiative by Moelven Byggmodul AS and Itera ASA, is a holistic approach that connects all matters relevant for a sustainable housing program in Ukraine, end-to-end​. ​ The initiative is deeply committed to addressing the critical need for housing and supporting the long-term post-war reconstruction of the Ukrainian society. 

 

  • Ukraine has over 6.5 million internally displaced persons and there is an urgent need for decent and affordable housing solutions across Ukraine.​ Our approach aims to empower IDPs by improving their quality of life through sustainable living conditions and job creation. ​  
  • Our initiative aims to provide them with safe and  sustainable housing solutions within 2024 and before the winter.​
  • The initiative directly supports the Ukrainian government's eRecovery Program for compensation for destroyed or damaged houses for citizens.​ 
  • To make houses available for all - not only the few,  we have set in motion a rent-to-own program with  the IFC, EU and Ukraine.​ 

We invite potential investors, international financial organizations, commercial banks, and international companies to join our initative and help us build a better future for all of Ukraine – fast, safe and at scale.​ Ensuring that the initiative remains financially sustainable for all.

Our Commitment 

  1. Investing in the housing sector in Ukraine, participating where possible in reconstruction through direct financial contributions or investments into Ukrainian operations, and/or  

  2. Collaborating with local Ukrainian companies to enhance construction capabilities and foster long-term employment opportunities, and/or

  3. Supporting Ukraine-wide development and economic growth, where possible and in line with business objectives.

Gartner defines their recommended approach as Fusion Teams.
