Itera x WaterCircles

Itera becomes strategic technology partner for WaterCircles

Itera has signed a new agreement with WaterCircles, taking responsibility for core applications, cloud platform and infrastructure operations. The partnership establishes a unified technology foundation designed to support growth, stability and faster digital development.

Under the agreement, Itera will manage application maintenance alongside cloud and infrastructure operations, giving WaterCircles a single, integrated delivery model across development and operations. The solution will be fully operational by 1 July 2026.

Building a more robust and connected technology platform

Many organisations manage applications and infrastructure through separate providers, creating unnecessary complexity and slowing down development. By consolidating responsibility with Itera, WaterCircles is establishing a more cohesive and resilient technology platform that supports continuous improvement and innovation.

Although WaterCircles already operates in the cloud, the partnership focuses on long-term, high-quality cloud operations that actively support business development, not just infrastructure maintenance.

– When applications and platform are managed together, it becomes easier to prioritise the right initiatives and respond faster to new needs. This creates better flow, higher quality and a stronger foundation for further digital development.

Supporting growth and faster time to market

WaterCircles has experienced strong growth in the Norwegian insurance market and has a clear ambition to further strengthen its digital offerings. The new delivery model is designed to ensure stable operations while increasing flexibility and speed in developing new solutions.

“We wanted to secure stable and robust operations, while at the same time gaining more room to develop digital solutions in line with our needs. With Itera, we get a partner that can work closely with us over time and contribute to better delivery flow and shorter time to market,” says Petter Tore Berget, Director of IT and Business Development at WaterCircles.

Strengthening Itera’s position in financial services

For Itera, the agreement further strengthens the company’s position within financial services and insurance, where many organisations are seeking clearer accountability, fewer interfaces and more robust technology foundations.

“We are very pleased to work with WaterCircles, a company known for high customer satisfaction in the Norwegian market. This collaboration gives a strong starting point for faster development and a shorter path from need to delivery,” says Simen Engebretsen.
