Itera achieves gold rating in EcoVadis

September 2023: Itera has achieved a gold rating in the EcoVadis sustainability report. This places us among the top 2% of companies in our industry on a global basis.

About EcoVadis

EcoVadis is a recognized rating agency within sustainability and has rated over 100,000 companies in over 100 countries over the past 15 years. The ranking is based on a number of factors, including the environment, social responsibility and ethics, that are important to a sustainable business. Through exhaustive analyses and strict documentation requirements, EcoVadis helps to reduce the risk of greenwashing and ensures that the companies have their own affairs in order.

A request from Gjensidige

Itera started reporting to EcoVadis three years ago at the request of Gjensidige, one of our biggest customers for many years.

In the very first year, we achieved a silver medal rating with a score of 60 out of 100. Over the following years, Itera continued to improve, leading to an increase to 66 out of 100 in the second year and finally a gold medal with 76 out of 100 this year.

In addition, Itera works actively to help even out the skewed gender balance in the IT industry, both at education and company level, through participation in a number of organizations and through its own diversity group.

The way forward

Itera aims to continue to improve its sustainability reporting and strives to achieve a platinum rating, which will place us in the top 1% of companies in our industry. As a credible actor in digital sustainability transformation, it is important to show that we have good processes and control over our own value chain.
